Nittedal kommune — visual identiy and graphic design
—Visual identity and graphic design—
25th of September 2015 Nittedal kommune invited design agencies to propose a solution and offer for their new brand identity. Sommerseth Design went on to win this assignment. Beating some of the most known agencies in Norway.
Our team suggested quite a few differect directions. Some of them presented below. Nittedal had some ideas they wanted to see through, with the help of our designers they did.
We would like to thank Geir Smith-Solevåg (CMO) at Nittedal kommune for a good co-operation throughout the project.
—Selected sketches from the process—
This proposal was all about the abstracted interpretation of the original weapon. A place known for skiing, matches and its culture scene we wanted to capture those significant markers in this element.
In this second proposal we continued the landmark approach, but went into a more litteral pattern that had more clear visual representation of railroad, brand symbol, forrest, ski/matches and railroad.
—Selected surfaces from final delivery—
The delivery also included web to print solution (delivered by Papirfly), signage program and a massive online designmanual that contains all the "dos and donts" regarding the visual identity and its designelements.
