Webflow Conf 2022

The annual Webflow Conference has just wrapped up. And as expected, the company came through with news that designers and developers have been waiting for.

Symbols are now being renamed to "components":

• Now anyone can edit values directly in the editor
• Displaying CMS data at the component level. This is going to save a ton of time. Support for components in CMS lists is coming later this year, Webflow promises
• Show or hide elements within components, so you can tailor design and content in multiple places across the site

Now you can design and build components in Webflow and bake them directly into React projects.

Other news worth mentioning that's rolling out in full in 2023:

• Multi Language (for multilingual websites)
• Membership - now in public beta and ready to test. You can build membership sites with up to 20,000 users per site
• Logic - built-in automation without having to rely on third-party services.
• Variable font support
